And the house and the prison had a thick layer of iron doors, so that not a bit of light could pass down.
"Do you think it's worthwhile to transfer all the people held here because of such a girl?" When he came up, a man dressed in the costume of the South Vietnamese War Department asked.
These two men were both soldiers from the War Department and had been ordered to come here to guard Liang Lu, one of them was the leader of one of the War Department's squads and the other was a member of his team.
"Don't ask nonsense, this is not something we should know, since the top has given us this task, just follow the orders honestly and be careful of getting into trouble!" The one who came up from the prison was the captain, and when he heard his team member's words, he hurriedly scolded in a lowered voice.
"There's only the two of us here, and I'm only whining to you, Captain, so how can I possibly say these things to anyone else." In just two days here, the team members were feeling very bored.
Apart from the fact that someone would drive in every morning to bring food and drinking water on time, there was no one to be seen all day, and not even the slightest other sound could be heard.
"Then you can't talk nonsense, as far as I know, this matter is very important, and the two of us are carrying out a secret mission of the war department, if you are not afraid of death, you can keep mentioning this matter, just don't get me into it after you run into trouble."
The captain obviously didn't dare to say anything more, and stopped abruptly at this point in the conversation.
The team members didn't want to make a fool of themselves, so they didn't say anything either.
Little did they know that just as they finished, a car pulled up outside.
"Remember not to say a word, you want to die, I don't want to die!" The captain instructed in a low voice before trotting to the door.
"Got it." The team member nodded and scrambled to clear the table in front of him.
Before the captain could go to the door, the door was pushed open and a middle-aged man with a senior South Vietnamese War Department armband entered, followed by four soldiers with guns in their hands.
"What's the situation?" The middle-aged man asked just as he entered.
"No, she has been in there honestly since she was locked in, I purposely spoke to her in Chinese when I delivered the food as you instructed, she is now probably wondering whether she is in South Vietnam or in China." The captain stood up straight and said.
"Well done, when this is over, I will promote you to a higher rank!" The middle-aged man patted him on the shoulder in satisfaction.
If one looked closely, one would be able to see that this middle-aged man was no other than the one who had reported to Lu Chengkun that time that Chen Ge had arrived in the South Vietnamese waters and wanted to send a fleet to try to annihilate it.
Ever since he felt that Lu Chengkun was not doing anything after he became the chief, he had decided to secretly go out on his own, so that when he had done everything right, he could take Lu Chengkun's place and become the new chief of South Vietnam.
And he believed that when he said all these things he had done, the entire war department, should support him.
"Thank you, leader!" The captain and the team members said at the same time.
"I'm here with you today, not only to see what's going on, but to let you know that from today onwards, there won't just be two of you here, I'll be sending a squad of loaded guns from the War Department every day." The middle-aged man paused and continued.
"Is there any danger?" Upon hearing this, both of them had some fear and asked in a rush.
"Not for the moment." The middle-aged man denied it.
In fact, his reason for doing so was very simple, kidnapping Liang Lu, because when Chen Ge had left South Vietnam earlier, he had sent people from the Chinese side to keep an eye on the Liang family, and when he saw Liang Lu leaving, he followed him all the way and kidnapped him when he arrived in South Vietnam.
The reason for doing this was to use Liang Lu to lure Chen Ge back so that he could get him into the trap he had set beforehand.
As long as he could kill Chen Ge, he would be able to establish his position in the War Department.
But what he didn't expect was that Chen Ge would return, and that he would be firmly rejected when he proposed to Lu Chengkun.
If it had been his intention, Chen Ge would have died in the sea by now.
But now he had allowed Chen Ge to enter the territory of South Vietnam, he could clearly remember what had happened the last time Chen Ge had come in, so he was worried that Chen Ge would find his way here, after all, the impact Chen Ge had given him last time was too great, and he had to be well prepared.
"We're not afraid of danger!" The captain didn't even care what the other man said, he just agreed with a stiff upper lip.
"You guys go out and get ready, set up as soon as possible." The middle-aged man nodded, then waved his hand at those outside and ordered.
"Yes!" Unexpectedly, apart from the ones standing at the door, there were a dozen more people outside who agreed together.
"What is it?" The captain asked carefully.
"I've set up some traps here, you two don't need to go out for now, I'll bring you all the daily food and water,." The middle-aged man said.
"Understood!" The captain hurriedly agreed.
"Is she in there?" The middle-aged man pointed to the iron door.
"Hmm." The captain said.
"Show me in." The middle-aged man walked towards the iron door.
The captain took a few quick steps and went in front of the middle-aged man, opened the iron door, and shone his torch ahead of him.
Walking through the long passage, they reached the front of the cell where Liang Lu was being held.
"Liang Lu." Seeing the imprisoned woman, a smile appeared on the middle-aged man's face, this was the bargaining chip he used to threaten Chen Ge, and he knew that as long as Liang Lu was in his hands, then sooner or later Chen Ge would step on top of the trap he had laid.
"What are you?" Seeing the light of the torch shining in, Liang Lu stood up and asked.
"You don't need to know what I am, all you need to know is that if you stay here honestly, then you can help me, but if you try anything else, I won't hesitate to kill you."
The middle-aged man walked to the front of the iron fence and looked across the iron frame at Liang Lu.
"You're from the South Vietnam War Department, aren't you?" Liang Lu stared at the man in front of her, and as the torch wavered that much, she suddenly saw that on the middle-aged man's arm, there was an armband.
"That's right, I am indeed from the South Vietnam War Department, but what can you do if you know about it, can you still go out from here and inform the police, don't forget that everything on you has been confiscated, the only way is to shout."
The middle-aged man laughed loudly a few times.
"Good, I'll stay here then." Knowing the other party's identity, Liang Lu understood that whatever she said was worthless, so she simply dropped her head and sat down at the far end.
"Keep a firm eye on me, if anything happens to her, I'll have your lives, understand!" After finishing with Liang Lu, the middle-aged man turned his head and whispered to the captain.
